Wildlife Materials, Inc. was one of the first companies to manufacture radio telemetry equipment for fish and wildlife research and management. Located in Southern Illinois, Wildlife Materials was established in 1970, by Robert and Linda Hawkins. In 2001, the business was sold to two long-term employees, William Liao and Richard Blanchard. In 2004, the company completed its move to its new 15,000 square-foot facility, located in Murphysboro, Illinois. Wildlife Materials currently manufactures six receiver lines and can build transmitters as small as 0.6 grams. Our products have also been adapted to aid in hunting dog recovery and falconry. With the creation of Care Trak, Inc., now Care Trak International, Inc., this same technology is now being used to help locate individuals who might wander or become lost due to the effects of brain disorders. Wildlife Materials is one of the largest manufacturers of electronic telemetry equipment. Our goal is to offer high quality equipment in a timely fashion, and to back it up with excellent warranties. |
